They are truly beautiful and you can only admire them.” (Schönberg, “Symphonies from folk songs”) The AUREUM Saxophone Quartet has long adopted folk music and its links to the classical repertoire as one of its main areas. This creates programs that outline the points of intersection between the two genres and show how art music can be inspired by the folk music idiom.
